My name is Yasmin and I love to travel and discover new things. If you are like me you do your research before going on your trip. Hopefully, I can help you with that if you are planning to go to Iceland.
I definitely haven’t seen everything, and I doubt if I ever will, and that is the magic of this beautiful island. I fell in love with the country since I started researching for our first visit.
If you need help finding THAT spot for your trip, I would love to share my experiences with you and help with planning your ultimate trip.
While visiting Iceland in June 2024 we kept seeing two ravens once a day, and when we did the weather would change for the better. That’s how our fantasy of the two Ravens of Odin (Huginn & Muninn) came to life.
During the travels a keep note of our days on Polarsteps and like to add the Myths legends of fact around a step. That’s when the idea of Huginn & Muninn Travels was born.
Huginn and Muginn are Odins Ravens in the Norse Mythology. Their names mean ”thought” and ”memory or mind” translated from Old Norse. They would fly over Midgard (earth) and land on Odins shoulders tell him about everything they saw. Although their meanings are a bit different they made me think about traveling. Huginn is there to make you think about a destination and Muninn will be there when you make new memories. And when you get home? They will both be there when you about your travels.
